In 1988, the pioneering students in FH Aachen's first international degree programme, the German-British Studies (Deutsch-Britischer Studiengang, DBS), graduated with a double degree. To this day, internationality remains an important subject at the university.

FH Aachen has 218 cooperation agreements with partner universities in 52 countries all over the world.
