Lady in MINT

25

Until the autumn of 2020, Professor Doris Samm was Vice Rector for Research and Innovation at FH Aachen, an office she held twice. “The first time, perhaps (?), as a token woman,” she says with a chuckle. The second time, because she had already proven herself as Vice Rector. In 1971, she studied chemical engineering in Jülich and, while working as a research assistant at RWTH Aachen University, made contact with FH Aachen again when she accepted a teaching assignment. All in all, Professor Samm and FH Aachen can look back on 50 exciting years together.
